Hi,
I worked as a Peace Corps volunteer in a Karen village in Thailand (non-refugee). While it’s not exactly ‘traditional’ Karen music, I did assist a local high school rock band in recording/publishing their own album. i’d like to know more about how to get ahold of these recordings. i heard the story on npr’s day to day and have been trying to find out more about the karens’ music. please let me know if you plan to publish or sell this stuff.

Hi, I am a Karen refugee residing in Sydney, Australia. I am currently studying bachelor of music education and doing my honours thesis on preservation of Karen traditional music in a non-formal Australian context (i.e a community-based setting workshops) for the young Karen to have traditional teaching and learning experience. The study is still in the proposal status but hopefully I can start next year in February. I have thoroughly enjoyed your website and I hope to see more of these with multimedia content. Thanks again!
